Online College Courses for High School Students

High schools partner with the University of Nebraska–Lincoln Advanced Scholars program to offer online college courses to qualified high school juniors and seniors.

Students get college head start:

  • Earn college credit.
  • Receive reduced tuition rates.
  • Fulfill general education requirements.
  • Experience an actual college course.
  • Learn from outstanding UNL faculty.

High schools offer college credit:

  • Prepare students for college coursework.
  • Provide college credit without adding teachers.
  • Add college courses to curriculum.
  • Keep students academically challenged.

Spring 2012 Academic Calendar

January 5        Final Deadline for Advanced Scholars Applications

January 9        First day of Spring 2012 courses

                        Late registration fee begins

January 16    UNL offices closed in observance of Martin Luther King, Jr Day

January 17        Last day to drop a course and receive a 100% tuition refund

January 20        Last day to drop a course and receive a 75% tuition refund

January 27        Last day to withdraw from a course and receive a 50% tuition refund

February 3        Last day to withdraw from a course and receive a 25% tuition refund

February 12       Tuition payments due

April 6                Last day to withdraw from a course.

April 28            Last day of classes

April 30-            Final Exams

May 4                Week
