Application Process
For students applying to the Advanced Scholars program, please complete and send the following items to UNL:
- Advanced Scholars Visiting Student Application Form
- Tuition & Grades Signature Form
- High School Approval Form
- One-time $45 application fee, provided by the student (checks should be made out to University of Nebraska–Lincoln.)
- If English is not your first language, you are required to demonstrate English proficiently by submitting one of the following: ACT English subscore of 18 or higher, SAT I Verbal of 430 of higher, or TOEFL score of 525 (computer version 193) or higher.
NOTE: The application fee is a one-time, University of Nebraska fee. If a student has already applied to the University of Nebraska (any campus) in the past 12 months, this fee is waived. If, after applying to Advanced Scholars, the student decides to apply to the University (any campus) for their freshman year, the fee for that application will be waived.

Upon acceptance, students will receive an NU ID number and personal identification number (PIN) from the UNL Office of Admissions via e-mail, and a course registration key from the Advanced Scholars program with instructions on how to register for Advanced Scholars courses. The course registration key is also provided to partnering high schools.
