Statistics (ECON 215)
ECON 215 is an introduction to the presentation, analysis, and interpretation of data and information
encountered in economics and business. Students explore data summaries, graphical presentations,
and variability in measurements and processes, as well as the fundamentals of probability analysis
and distributions, providing the necessary foundations for statistical inference. This course covers
the interaction of probability and sampling, and a variety of statistical inference procedures and
applications. Relationships among economic variables are also explored using the strategies of
regression modeling and correlation.
