This course is for students who may be interested in a career in the life or health sciences. The first portion of the class focuses on making a successful transition from high school to college-level academics and social life. The second part of the class takes a look at careers in the life and health sciences. Students will hear about potential careers discussed by college advisors, faculty, health care professionals, and scientists working in industries. The course not only attempts to provide insight into these careers, but also explains the necessary experiences expected of students applying to professional or graduate programs like medical or pharmacy school or doctoral research.
