As a participant in the Advanced Scholars program, you are helping your students earn more than a few college credits – they’re also getting used to a University system.

Like on-campus students, your high school students will first apply to the University before they can register for their individual classes.

To help your students join Advanced Scholars, here is your “to do” list:

Return the New School Application form to indicate your school’s partnership with the Advanced Scholars program.

Familiarize yourself with the Advanced Scholars Calendar for important dates and deadlines.

Select students who meet the eligibility qualifications for Advanced Scholars.

Introduce eligible students (and their parents/guardians) to the program. Contact the Advanced Scholars program for print materials, and other promotional ideas and support.

For each student making application, please forward the following items to UNL:

1.  High School Approval Form


2.   Visiting Student Application Form


3.  Tuition Signature Form


4. One-time $45 application fee, provided by the student (checks should be made out to University of Nebraska-Lincoln.)

NOTE:The application fee is a one-time, University of Nebraska fee. If a student has already applied to the University (any campus) in the past 12 months, this fee is waived. If, after applying to Advanced Scholars, the student decides to apply to the University (any campus) for their freshman year, they don’t have to pay this fee again.
