Advanced Scholars courses are just $100 per credit hour for Nebraska residents and $179.75 for out-of-state residents– with no additional University fees. At a reduced tuition rate, earning UNL credits won't break the bank! That’s almost half the cost of on-campus courses. Consumers Digest and Kiplinger.com rated UNL as a "Best Value in Public Colleges" for our academic excellence at a reasonable cost.
Please note tuition is subject to change with each academic year.

Paying Tuition

Once registration is received, students’ bills are generated by the 25th of each month. Tuition bills are mailed to Advanced Scholars students and are also available online via the UNL Web site, What About Me? (WAM): http://wam.unl.edu or What About My Student? (WAMS): http://wams.unl.edu. Advanced Scholars students receive email notification each month their bill is available to view.

Students are encouraged to authorize a parent or guardian to view their bill using WAMS by selecting the last option under “My Bill” – “Grant Access to Parent or Others.” Learn how with our WAM Tutorial.

Registering for an Advanced Scholars course incurs a financial obligation to UNL. Late payment or non-payment will result in the following penalties:

  • A hold will be placed on the student’s academic record (holds prohibit the release of transcripts and prohibit future enrollment until the account is paid), AND
  • A $20 late payment fee each month the account is past due.
